Indonesian Vanilla Planifolia is typically lengthy and slender beans with a length that ranges from 11 cm to 20 cm. It has a vibrant flavor with a slightly woody aroma similar to the Madagascar Bourbon variety of Vanilla Planifolia that grows in Mexico. This type of vanilla has a cylindrical shape and is longer than the Vanilla Tahitensis type, but this type of aroma is not as strong as Tahitensis.
Grade A-1 ( Super Gourment)
Grade A-1 beans are very dark in color, pliable and moist with a moisture content ranging from 30%-35%. These are the highest-grade vanilla beans offered in the industry. A-1 beans are great to split lengthwise and scrape out the “vanilla caviar” inside the pod (the pod can be saved and used for infusions).
